The biggest challenge I faced when creating my store was actually brainstorming to come up with a concept. Ultimately, I kept it simple.

The steps that guide you as you create a store worked really well when using the platform. A very intuitive layout. You don't have to do everything in that order. But this allows the user to make progress without being stop by an incomplete item.

The search feature could be improved when using the platform. It would be great to have the Shopify Help Center within the admin panel, instead of being prompted to select the Help Center when your search returns no results.

This experience helped me build empathy for our merchants because earlier I stated that the steps to build a store are intuitive. Intuitiveness can be subjective. The Shopify platform does make it more straightforward to see what is possible.

My biggest takeaway from this experience is knowing that is every single person at Shopify has at some point has walked in the shoes of our merchants. I can't think of a better way to build empathy.
